For captsosa: You Did What For Us?

Most people looked at Templeton and dismissed him as a pretty face, hell that's how he wound up with his nickname. But it was Hannibal Smith who saw more and took him under his wing. Smith helped to mold and meld him into a soldier. But it was Charisa Sosa who made him human. It wasn't love at first sight exactly, they'd had to grow on each other but once they had there had been no one else.

It was why he was so worried about her now. He couldn't have said what was bothering him so much he just was worried. He'd tried to call her on a secure line twice but nothing, so now he was pacing trying not to go racing in to save her.

Everybody made mistakes at some point in their lives, mistakes that led to regrets and a numbness that lasted longer than they wished. It had been six years since she had declined to take her relationship with Face to another level...in truth she had been scared and ran, hid behind her work and turned all feelings of love for him to hate.

That had of course changed three years ago when he and the A-Team had been charged on false counts and she had promised to help him out. Shit, she'd seen him in a whole new light. The calls had come through and yet she didn't answer her mind focused on the files of reports of the teams current actions.

"What the hell did I get myself into?" She mumbles before picking up her cell to try and call him back, last thing she needed was for him to show up unexpected and get caught.

He breaths a sigh of relief when his phone finally rings. He takes a deep breath pushing all the worries and fears out of his head so that his next line does come out too strained or upset. "Hello beautiful what took you so long."

She flips the folder that's open on her coffee table closed the second she hears his voice. With a faint sigh she leans back into the couch and runs a hand over her face. "Work. You guys have really pissed the military off over the last three years. I can't even begin to tell you about the files sitting before me."

It's hard to judge by her tone if she's annoyed or amused, if anything she's tired. So far she hadn't been able to find a loophole or anything to get the charges on Face and the others dropped. Sadly, she also couldn't give the case her full attention.

"Upset them," he replies fighting the urge to let his voice go tight with anger, "mostly we are cleaning up their messes and helping the people no one else wants to help there is nothing wrong with that. So okay maybe we blew up a building or two...or three...but those were Hannibal's plans not mine."

[captsosa]

"Face, I never said there was nothing wrong with that. I understand what you guys are doing," she offers him assurance with the tone of her voice while moving to stretch her legs out so her feet touch the wooden table in front of her. "Well, Hannibal's plans are making things a lot tougher for her guys if I am ever able to find a way to help."

With a faint sigh she purses her lips together while leaning her head back on the cushion behind her. Talking about this was just going to upset him, she knew this so a change of subject was probably for the best. "How are you?"

"I'll talk to him...see if he can't tone things down okay," he says finally, "I can't promise we won't need to do something stupid later on but it might stall him when he's thinking of what to do next." Her question of his well being makes him fight the urge to sigh. "I could be doing better to be honest, but I miss you like hell if it counts for anything. How are you?"

She holds back a laugh the moment Face mentions talking to Hannibal, the man could make all the promises he wanted to Face but in the end she knew they wouldn't hold. Letting her feet fall to the carpet she gets up and moves toward her bedroom.

"I've been alright. Work like always takes up most of my time." The moment she's in the bedroom she flops down on the bed, letting the sheets cool her body. "I miss you too."

"Are you going to sleep on me," Face teases lightly when he hears her flop on the bed. "I should be insulted but you've probably had just a rough of a week as we have. Did you make any headway at all getting us a champion among the CO's?"

"I'd just be getting you back for all the times you fell asleep on me," She teases back, though there is a bit of truth in that statement. A rough week, a rough three years is more like it. "No, I actually think their trying to ween me off this case my involvement has diminished over the last couple years." Charisa sighs softly.

So those folders that she's been going through when he called, she really wasn't supposed to have those. How else was she going to work on getting them justice though if she was taken fully off the case? Closing her eyes she furrows her brow while pinching at the bridge of her nose.

"That would explain something we found. Charisa we think you are being tailed...it's why I called I wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware of it. They've been really careful...but we still managed to trace them."

[captsosa]

That causes her to sit up quickly her mouth going dry for a moment while she gets up. Cradling her free arm against her body she paces her bedroom. "You're sure? Maybe you guys picked up a different signal..." she trails off though as an odd clicking sound comes over the line. Sort like somebody picking up another phone in the house only to realize somebody was already on the line. Though she's on a cell and he's on a secure line.

"I have to go." She hangs up quickly and tosses the phone on the floor before moving to grab her boots. Putting them on she quickly stomps her foot down on the rather expensive piece of technology until it breaks.

Doing that wasn't the best way to stop Face from worrying about her, so rather than sitting still and waiting to hear from her he makes a mad dash for their current car and takes off. He used GPS to triangulate her last known position and got there as quickly as he could. He knew it was risky and dangerous, but he wasn't about to let anyone take her. She was the only link to freedom the A-Team had and he didn't want to lose her because he loved her.

So it was time to play the hero no matter what might happen to him.

In truth she figured something like this might happened, that the military would finally piece together the puzzle considering she had been the last person to have any interaction with Face before him and the others were on their way to prison, only to magically escape. It paid to be prepared and Charisa was already having a bag stashed away in the closet for just this sort of occasion, one she was hoping would never happen.

Going for it now she yanks it out by the strap before reaching up onto the top shelf of her closet for her firearm.

There is a pounding on the door and a familar voice calls out softly but intensely. "Charisa, Charisa open up right now, come on beautiful we need to get moving."

The intense pounding on the door is enough to tense her body, while she turns quickly gun already pointed in the direction of the hallway. Though when she hears his voice she visibly relaxes though makes her way quickly toward the door, tucking her gun into the back of her pants while throwing her bag over her shoulder.

It's just as she hits the door, throwing the last lock there is the sound of glass breaking and she's quick to move out as several canisters of tear gas are thrown into the building. Pulling the door closed while turning she glances up at Face. "How the hell did you get here so fast?"

"Let's just say magic and leave it at that," Face replies grabbing her hand and pulling her toward's the front door and outside running as hard and as fast as he can towards his car.

Charisa throws her free hand against the bag she had slung over her shoulder, keeping it in place while she ran toward the car with Face. Black boots thumping against the ground as the muscles in her legs worked overtime. Just as they reach the car she lets her hand slip from his own while moving to the passenger side and throwing open the door, tossing her bag into the back and quickly scrambling inside.

Face would have been right at home in the major leagues as he flings open the drivers side door and slides perfectly into his seat yanking the key into the starting position and setting the car in motion.

The look on her face says it all at the moment. In honesty she had been worried for the last three years that the military would catch on to her involvement, she just didn't expect everything to happen so quickly in one day. As the car is set in motion away from her place she stares straight ahead and runs a hand through her hair.

After they are out of the city Face finally speaks. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she speaks softly while turning her gaze out the passenger side window. Sosa's mind was certainly clouded at this point, unsure of just what the hell she was going to do now.

[lieutenant_faceman]

"You are not fine, I know you and that is your not fine face......talk please. I really don't want an awkward car ride."

[captsosa]

"You realize how stupid it was for you to show up right?" She's still not looking at him. Was the thankful he did? Yes, but he could have easily been caught. "Were you even thinking!?" Charisa lays her head against the cool glass of the window with a sigh.

"Yes I was thinking don't let Sosa die so you're welcome," Face snaps.

[captsosa]

The moment Face snaps at her she winces slightly while chewing on her lower lip. She had been grateful of course, there was no denying that but, sometimes she wished he wouldn't risk his life for her. Lips part to say something and instead she just goes back to silence between them.
